What They Said - Friday 19th Feb 2010;

Wayne,

Many, many thanks for a quite unbelievable week....an outstanding venue (quite beautiful, friendly and warm ++); magnificent coaching (attentive, detailed, focussed + challenging), and thoughtful guidance (around the island, restaurants & community). We have all really enjoyed every moment. Thanks also to Shelley & Lauren for their patience & company.

Latest News..... We're looking to take triathletes to train in Cape Verde in late November / Early December 2012 and February of 2013. The proposed dates are currently:

The November camp will be outside school holidays but the February camp takes into account the February 1/2 term in England. However, we are flexible on both and can take those slightly earlier and later, we'll firm dates up as flight prices become clear.

A Ride on Sal

Porto Antigo 2:- Below is a view of Porto Antigo 2, looking directly back from the beach. It's smaller than Porto Antigo 1, so there aren't as many apartments available but it's in an ideal position, right on the ocean and would suit travellers without young children. The pool area is positioned immediately the sand ends and some of the accommodation is shown behind. There can't be many better places in the world to be.

Now with the Accommodation Choice at Porto Antigo 1 & 2

We're now offering apartments in both Porto Antigo 1 and Porto Antigo 2. Take a look at the Blog below for a quick tour of each

Temperatures Guaranteed

All year round the island of Sal has an almost perfect climate for training. Temperatures should be between 22 and 28 degrees and the Ocean temperature shouldn't dip below 21 degrees.

Swimming

Apart from open water swimming we also carry out all video analysis in the pool, both from below the waterline and above.

Water temperatures of 21+ means you can either use a wetsuit or not and Santa maria has great open water swimming, with small boats to use as rounding buoys.

Cycling

In Sal there is generally a wind blowing from north to south, the same direction of the main highway. This gives an into and out of the wind ride that's perfect for toughening up or getting your drafting skills sorted before the season. All distances can be covered with rides from 10k to 100k being both challenging and rewarding, dependent on your goal and your age.

Running

On the beach, on a track by the sea or over rough terrain, Sal has it all. Plus we will be taking video and completing analysis on your run technique, There will also be technical sessions, where we give you practices to maintain your good running style, lessen the chance of injury and improve your run splits.

Swim - Cycle and Run faster in 2013
The aim of our November / December camp will be to get you on the road to a healthy winter and to better results in 2013. We can do that by filming your style in the 3 disciplines and begin to correct any deficiencies. There is more than enough time to make changes to your style without fear of damaging your current form, so you can train for the rest of the winter more efficiently.

In February we can again assess your form using extensive video analysis and suggest changes to improve your triathlon and minimise your chance of injury. We'll aim to improve your speed in all 3 disciplines plus in your transitions, so you can practice these well before the season and maximise your potential in 2013.

We have experience coaching all ages, from 8 to 80 and all levels from complete novices and youngsters to those competing at National and World Championships. We consequently build appropriate programme's for all ages and abilities.
