What They Said - Friday 19th Feb 2010;

Wayne,

Many, many thanks for a quite unbelievable week....an outstanding venue (quite beautiful, friendly and warm ++); magnificent coaching (attentive, detailed, focussed + challenging), and thoughtful guidance (around the island, restaurants & community). We have all really enjoyed every moment. Thanks also to Shelley & Lauren for their patience & company.

      Great News bookings are coming in for the camps in February 2012, where we're again offering a choice of dates. Half term will be from 13th to 17th February so we're planning to start camps running from the following dates:

You can come before, during or after the half term break, for those who need to take school holidays and those who don't. The timings are based on people travelling on Thompsons Monday Gatwick flight, with camps starting on the Tuesday, but you can choose other dates if they fit and we'll simply arrange special video and analysis sessions to suit.

Our base is a fantastic beach front development in Santa Maria, so you, your partners and families will enjoy a great holiday while athletes get fit, fast and better prepared for next season . This is one of the most idyllic positions you could wish for - directly on the sandy beach, with it's own safe secluded bay and a fresh water pool directly overlooking the ocean.

The restaurant is to the right as we look at the scenet, where you can have lunch or dinner with the Atlantic Ocean actually rolling past you as you eat. There's no better place to be.

Temperatures Guaranteed

All year round the island of Sal has an almost perfect climate for training. Temperatures should be between 22 and 28 degrees and the Ocean temperature shouldn't dip below 21 degrees.

Swimming

Apart from open water swimming we also carry out all video analysis in the pool, both from below the waterline and above.

Water temperatures of 21+ means you can either use a wetsuit or not and Santa maria has great open water swimming, with small boats to use as rounding buoys.

Cycling

In Sal there is generally a wind blowing from north to south, the same direction of the main highway. This gives an into and out of the wind ride that's perfect for toughening up or getting your drafting skills sorted before the season. All distances can be covered with rides from 10k to 100k being both challenging and rewarding, dependent on your goal and your age.

Running

On the beach, on a track by the sea or over rough terrain, Sal has it all. Plus we will be taking video and completing analysis on your run technique, There will also be technical sessions, where we give you practices to maintain your good running style, lessen the chance of injury and improve your run splits.

Swim - Cycle and Run faster in 2011
The aim of our February camp is to assess your form and by using video analysis suggest changes to improve your triathlon and minimise your chance of injury. We'll then look to maximising you potential and your speed over the appropriate distances for your major races, so you see better results in 2011.

Our coaches have experience coaching all ages, from 8 to 80 and all levels from complete novices and youngsters to those competing at National and World Championships right through to Elites competitors. So all ages are welcome on our camps and we build appropriate programme's for all ages and abilities.
